Art Production Contest Standards and Terms

1- Short Films

    Standards

  • The Uniqueness and Quality of the Theme which shouldn’t be copied from anyone else.
  • The Quality of Video Production & Cinematography.
  • The Quality of the Scenario, Screenplay-Script & Theme Sequence.
  • The Support of the Quranic Values that are presented in the Film

    Terms

  • All participants can register at ic-qc.ca
  • Registration will open Jan 15, 2020.
  • The last date to register is Sep 15, 2020. 11:59 PM EST.
  • Media competition registration fees: C$50.
  • The Short Film should carry a message of a Good Value.
  • Posted Information must be from an authentic source “References are required.”
  • The intellectual property of the Idea, story & music must be presented if available. Otherwise, “references” must be mentioned.
  • The Short Film must not violate the Islamic Ethics, Moral Ethics & the Canadian Law.
  • The Short Film must not be posted on any social media platform or in any public event.
  • Participants can only submit one Short Film.
  • Short Films cannot include any commercial advertisements.
  • Short Films must not include Names, Titles, Signatures, Logos or Dates.
  • Short Films can be in English or Arabic only.
  • The Short Film must not exceed 120 seconds.
  • Participants must include a full detailed script of the Film.
  • Participants must use DCP, MOV or MP4 forms only.

2- Islamic Song

    Standards

  • The relevance of the topic and the coherence of the idea.
  • The depth and significance of the words.

    Terms

  • All participants can register at ic-qc.ca
  • Registration will open Jan 15, 2020.
  • The last date to register is Sep 15, 2020. 11:59 PM EST.
  • Media competition registration fees: C$50.
  • The subject of the song has to be the Holy Quran or anything relevant to it.
  • If the song contains information, it must be from documented sources and supported by the references.
  • The copyrights of the words, melody and tune distribution have to be owned by the participant, and the required proof has to be attached.
  • The participant should not violate Sharia or moral principles.
  • The contestant is not allowed to present more than one song in each track, but he is allowed to participate in other tracks.
  • The participation must not include any advertisement or promotion for any product or company.
  • It is not permitted to have names, surnames, addresses, signatures, logos or dates on the participation.
  • The song must not exceed 240 seconds.
  • Participants should be Committing to implement the required modifications suggested by the award management “if needed” within 72 hours from sending them.

3- Poetry

    Standards

  • The relevance of the topic and the coherence of the idea.
  • The strength and significance of the Phrases.

    Terms

  • All participants can register at ic-qc.ca
  • Registration will open Jan 15, 2020.
  • The last date to register is Sep 15, 2020. 11:59 PM EST.
  • Media competition registration fees: C$50.
  • The subject of the poem has to be the Holy Quran or anything relevant to it.
  • If the poem contains information, it must be from documented sources and supported by the references.
  • The participant must own the copyrights of the words, and the required proof has to be attached.
  • The participant should not violate Sharia or moral principles.
  • The participation must not have been published or displayed in public, any of the media or social media.
  • The contestant is not allowed to present more than one poem in each track.
  • The participation must not include any advertisement or promotion for any product or company.
  • It is not permitted to have names, surnames, addresses, signatures, logos or dates on the participation.
  • The poem must not be less than 20 verses long.

4- Islamic Creative Design

    Standards

  • Clarity of the information and presenting it in a simplified and consistent manner.
  • Participants should ensure the Creativity of the presentation and the quality of the graphics, icons, and colour consistency.
  • The excellence of the content formulation and its linguistic and spelling integrity is essential

    Terms

  • All participants can register at ic-qc.ca
  • Registration will open Jan 15, 2020.
  • The last date to register is Sep 15, 2020. 11:59 PM EST.
  • Media competition registration fees: C$50.
  • Clarity of the information and presenting it in a simplified and consistent manner.
  • Participants should ensure the Creativity of the presentation and the quality of the graphics, icons, and colour consistency.
  • The excellence of the content formulation and its linguistic and spelling integrity is essential.
  • The skillfulness of being concise in delivering the information, without compromising the topic.
  • The Holy Quran or anything relevant to it has to be the subject of the design.
  • If the design contains information, it must be from documented sources and supported by the references.
  • The participation submitted should be prepared or owned by the applicant, and the required proof has to be attached.
  • The participant should not violate Sharia or moral principles.
  • The Art subject must not be published or displayed in public or any of the media or social media.
  • The participation must not include any advertisement or promotion for any product or company.
  • It is not permitted to have names, surnames, addresses, signatures, logos or dates on the participation.
  • The number of words of the design should not exceed 100 interconnected words.
  • The information should be simplified and displayed in a clear and concise sequence.
  • Harmony of the design elements, such as colours and graphics.
  • Abiding by the following sizes: width: 8.26 inches or 21 cm, length: 9.71 inches or 24 cm.
